War is defined as an active conflict that has claimed more than 1,000 lives.  Of the past 3,400 years, humans have been entirely at peace for 268 of them, or just 8 percent of recorded history.

Compared with other parts of the world, Europe still has relatively low levels of war and violent crime. However, this does not necessarily mean that peace is present.

​

-In a list of the countries with the highest rates of depression, Europe makes up 7 of the top 10.

​

-In a list of the countries with the highest rates of alcoholism, Europe makes up 8 of the top 10.

​

Low levels of war does not equal Peace

God created a perfect world, and Adam and Eve had a perfect relationship with Him and with each other. God forbid them from eating from one fruit tree but they were tempted by a snake and ate it anyway. As a result, God cursed the world he had made and they were banished from the garden, marking the beginning of humanity's separation from God, and the introduction of sin into the world.
